Baroque&Rococo, Belle Epoque and Art Déco, what's your style?

This post is meant to be a fun way to find out what era you wanted to live in. In the 17th and 18th centuries it was the Baroque and Rococo era, a period of whimsy and almost bizarre fantasy where the ladies dressed forced into narrow busts and wide skirts supported by metal circles or whalebones. It was the time when France dictated the canons of fashion and Marie Antoinette was its inspiring muse.
Belle Epoque begins with the 20th century, a period in which fashion follows the sumptuous rhythms of dances and gala dinners and therefore more clothes for the different moments of the day. In this era women's clothing is characterized by the "S" line, the chest pushed unnaturally forward (thanks to a new bust model that flattens the stomach and stiffens the back), tiny waist and pelvis out. The daytime dresses have high lace collars and soft pastel colors, and in the evening, on the contrary, deep necklines with strictly black colors and sequins. The fabrics are soft and light. The shoes are the patent or kid booties.
And then we immersed ourselves in the Art Déco of the 20s and 30s, years of the flapper girl, that is, the emancipated women of the post-war period, such as Coco Chanel. The years of the novel The Great Gatsby, a portrait of the New York soul of the jazz age, with its contradictions, its victimhood and its tragedy. The fashion here changes, the heels of the shoes rise, the dresses reach the knee and are full of shimmering fringed embossed. The hair, strictly in a bob, is adorned with headbands. Feathers, pearls and long gloves complete the Charlestone look.
I have no doubts, my favorite style is that of Art Deco and Charlestone also because I am crazy about smooth jazz!I hope you enjoyed this post and hope to find new followers!
